Welcome to the website of West Sands Adoptions, where we believe that adoption is "A Sacred Mission"!
We aim to provide personalized service to adoptive families, and our ultimate commitment is to meeting the needs of orphaned children. We have developed two international adoption programs: one in China, and another in Ethiopia.
On July 30, 2008, we received a letter from The Council on Accreditation (COA) informing West Sands Adoptions that our application for Hague Accreditation had been denied. This was a crushing blow to our Agency. Fortunately, COA has an appeals process. We are currently pursuing an appeal and will inform you of our progress on this website.
As a result of the COA decision, we are not currently accepting applications for our China program. However, our Ethiopian Adoption Program is unaffected by Hague Accreditation, and we continue to accept applicants for that program.
Although in the past West Sands Adoptions has partnered with several other agencies to make programs available through your local agency, we are no longer able to do so. Any future adoption programs offered through West Sands Adoptions will be offered independently.
